Our client, Hundegger Canada Inc, is currently looking for a Service Technician for the Eastern Region.
Service Technician: Eastern Region
Hundegger Canada Inc., the Canadian branch of the German machine manufacturer Hans Hundegger AG, offers highly qualified service for pre-sale and after-sale of Hundegger AG manufactured machines for the entire product line of the German-made woodworking CNC machines Canada wide.
As the Service Technician you will be responsible for:
Install, service and repair all equipment within the Hundegger Group
Identify and correct hardware failures, software discrepancies, or programming problems
Advise on proper use regarding applications, operation, and maintenance of machines
Provide telephone consultation to customers and Hundegger Canada personnel with problems with equipment
Assist customer to achieve optimum efficiency and machine reliability
Remote work from your home office
Travel as required in Canada, USA and Germany (for training purposes)
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Mechanical experience and training
Pneumatic, hydraulic experience
Experience with electric/electronic & pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams
Experience with PLC/CNC controlled machinery
Experience in woodworking
Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Windows O/S
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to problem-solve.
Excellent time management and organization skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Valid Drivers License & clean drivers abstract
Hold a valid passport as you there is a requirement to travel within Canada, US & Germany (for training puposes)
Clean criminal record.
Bilingual would be an asset (French and/or German)
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position:
Must be able to see, hear, write and speak the English language with proficiency
Must be able to stand, walk, reach and bend for extended periods of times
May be required to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and up to 20 lbs of force frequently
Must be able to climb a ladder
Must be sufficiently flexible to crawl through tight spaces and crawl spaces when required
Must have considerable dexterity in his/her hands, fingers and wrists in order to perform the service work
Must have good vision particularly when there is a need to see smaller tools or parts or to take measurements
This is a full-time, remote, permanent position including benefits.
It does include frequent travel to customer sites in the Eastern Region (Canada & US), some travel to the Canadian head office in Airdrie, Alberta and training in Germany, as required
