Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Quality Compliance team. Reporting the Manager, Quality Compliance, the Senior Quality Engineer will support internal and regulatory audits, answer customer surveys and support production staff during customer on-site audit visits. He/She/They will facilitate and ensure completion and maintenance of industrial validation activities (PFMEA, APQP, Control Plans, DVI, PPAP, etc.). In additional to supporting to management of document control and specification review He/She/They will update proceducres and work instructions as well as provide training. The Senior Quality Engineer will also support NDT/Chemical processing for NADCAP accreditation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads root cause investigations for any internal or external non-conformances
  • Lead meetings and workshops to define and implement necessary changes to prevent recurrence of issues
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop corrective actions to eliminate non-conformances
  • Collaborate with CAMs, engineers and manufacturing personnel to generate applicable validation documentation
  • Support internal audit schedules
  • Utilize prior experience with prime aerospace customers (Boeing, Safran, LM, Airbus, Collins, Pratt & Whitney) to ensure compliance with applicable quality systems
  • Assist with specification reviews as required


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Engineering or Quality major preferred


Experience:
  • 7 years of related experience
  • Aerospace precision manufacturing experience preferred


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, FAA Part 21 & 145, NADCAP, AS13100, AS9145, AS9102
  • Working familiarity with common Quality methodologies such as SPC, Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints, technical charts and specification sheets.
