Job Overview

The National Restaurant Association is looking for a proven and innovative Senior QA Automation Engineer, to play an integral role as we make our way through an exciting digital transformation. As a highly collaborative member of our technology team, you will have the opportunity to directly impact our automation environment for web and client-server applications, using Selenium Web Driver 3.0, C#/Java, Appium, Microsoft Unit Test and Data Driven Automation framework.

As the Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will maintain and execute the load test suites in JMeter/BlazeMeter, as well as create, implement and maintain project test plans, test cases and manual test scripts as necessary. In addition, the Senior QA Automation Engineer assists with implementing quality assurance best practices, improving processes, and expediting QA cycles and overall application quality, plus coordinating User Acceptance Testing with Operations and external customers (when applicable).

Ideal candidates are highly detail-oriented and adaptable, with strong analytical skills; bring minimum five years of experience in Information Technology either as an application developer, test engineer or quality assurance analyst. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge in .NET development and SQL.

Position can operate fully remote within the United States with minimal travel anticipated.

Responsibilities:

Create framework for automated test suites as well as running and maintaining these suites.
Communicate issues and possible causes through defect reports to team management for resolution.
Provide timely and accurate testing reports to Application Development Manager.
Coordinate and prepare testing documentation for User Acceptance Testing.
Research and keep up to date on testing trends and industry best practices.
Integrate test automation into existing CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps.
Prepare test data for test script execution.

Requirements:

4 year Bachelor's degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, related fields or equivalent experience. Quality Assurance certification preferred (i.e. Certified Software Test Engineer).
5+ years of experience in Information Technology either as an application developer, test engineer or quality assurance analyst.
Previous experience with automation and load testing tools, including but not limited to JMeter/BlazeMeter and Selenium Web Driver 3.0 using C#/Java.
Extensive experience in Testing of API (Rest and Soap) and Web based applications.
Ability to work with backend developers and basic understanding of C#.
Proven ability to perform complex analysis of business requirements and technical design documentation to effectively create and execute test scripts.
Strong knowledge and experience working in a Scrum/Agile and Waterfall environment.
Ability to document and execute manual test scripts.
Experience in version control system like Git is preferred.
Experienced in Mobile (Android and iOS) Automation.
Advanced level of SQL. Ability to extract data, write complex SQL queries and manipulate data for testing purposes.
Solid understanding of Web Technologies from quality assurance standpoint.
Ability to interact effectively with technical programmers and business users.
Knowledge of different testing methodologies and testing levels.
Knowledge and experience in all phases of the development life cycle.
Experience working on project teams, creating estimates, plans and internal deadlines.
