Job Overview
Responsibilities: • Leveraging your educational background in an engineering discipline as well as your extensive professional experience in supporting capital projects, you will be accountable for leading a diverse engineering team in the execution of capital projects greater than $200M. • Successfully engaging across the organization, you will support the project manager by collaborating with colleagues such as Project Managers, Discipline Engineering Leads, Cost Control, Scheduling, Operations, Technology, Site Management, Procurement, Construction, EHS, and Sustainability to ensure efficient progression through the Pre-FEED/FEED and Detail Design stages. • Your strong interpersonal skills and your ability to influence will allow you to communicate effectively to the project team on items such as project status, risks, opportunities, coordination of decisions, etc.; this could include, but not limited to, Executive Project Steering teams, Company High Value Engineering teammates, EPC discipline teams, and vendor representatives. • Your strong leadership skills in project engineering will enable you to own the project execution plan and project scope/cost/schedule and provide cross-discipline coordination by directing project execution activities and creation of discipline deliverables to ensure a successful project. • You will be driving compliance with all EHS policies and procedures, as well as maintaining a Zero Incident mindset in the implementation of capital projects, while championing a commitment to safety at all times. Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma Requirements: Ideally this person should have greater than 15 years of industry experience and 10 years (of that 20) focused on project engineering/engineering management for capital projects. Heavy experience with carbon capture. Sustainability. PE PMP certified preferred but not required. Minimum of 15 years of Large Capital Project industry experience is preferred
