The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for providing technical oversight and guidance to the rest of the engineering team. He/she will work closely with direct supervision and fellow engineers to support the development of custom mechanical tooling and specialized products primarily used to support maintenance service work in the commercial nuclear power industry. The Senior Design Engineer is also responsible for creating conceptual and detailed mechanical designs, fabrication drawings, test/assembly/operating procedures, and product evaluations. The Senior Design Engineer will also use their technical knowledge to perform routine engineering tasks, such as performing calculations, creating and/or reviewing technical documents, and reviewing/approving designs/drawings.
