Job Description Summary The Senior Engineer - Requirements Management demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and company objectives within the broad field of Systems Engineering. The role will function as the Senior Engineer for the management of requirements for the entire scope of GEH Nuclear Plant Projects. The scope includes architecting and overseeing solutions as new projects and opportunities arise. Job Description Role Responsibilities Lead and provide the Requirements Management direction for large projects that have high business impact. Identify, develop, and implement engineering solutions that enable traceability from the original sources of requirements to the derived requirements and to evidence of verification. Provide technical consultation on maintaining a standard Nuclear Plant Project design with variants due to unique requirements, such as may arise from owners and regulators. Provide technical consultation on the integration of Requirements Management within the overarching company and corporate digital architecture. Develop and implement innovative approaches to reduce reliance on static documentation and enable adoption of data-centric system engineering in a more dynamic and collaborative environment. Support other GE businesses, internal & external customers, and suppliers as required. Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and enhance user experiences. Effectively communicate and provide recommendations, based on analysis and objective data, to internal and external GE customers using reports, records, and letters. Facilitate market winning proposals by responding to business product needs. Provide guidance, direction and mentoring to new and experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity Experience with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management Tools. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated ability to lead a team of highly experienced engineers performing systems engineering using digital tools. High performing employee with demonstrated ability to deliver results while exhibiting behaviors that promote strong team performance Demonstrated leadership in defining the state-of-the-art requirements management tools, and able to teach and set standard practices within integrated nuclear plant design processes Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business Problem analysis and resolution skills The salary range for this position is $106,500-$142,00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
