Starling is Y-combinator backed digital health device company based out of Houston, Texas. At Starling we are developing the world's first at home urinary diagnostic remote patient monitoring platform that can seamlessly integrate into anyone's bathroom routine. By detecting changes in urine over time with our sensors, we aim to improve patient outcomes and lower hospitalization rates for numerous chronic conditions such as recurrent UTIs or diabetes.

We are looking for a senior electrical engineer to join us now and to continue to have a significant role in the company as we continue to grow.

What You'll Do

• Work on EE hardware/software development for many types of electronics.
• Development of electronic hardware for on time and quality delivery.
• Design, build and test PCBs for different projects.
• Program and troubleshoot firmware with C/C++
• Source components and work with local and overseas suppliers.
• Complete product development activities including technical specifications, development, testing and design for production.
• Design PCBs for mass manufacturing in cooperation with our manufacturing partners.

Your Experience:

• +3 year of experience working in hardware/electronics.
• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit design, PCB design software, MCUs.
• Experience with C/C++.
• Experience with IoT modules, IR sensors, BLE PCB design/testing.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Knowledge in low level programming, embedded systems.
• Experience integrating hardware and software/mobile applications into one cohesive system.
• Self-driven individual with excellent work ethic and strong command of English.
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing working environment ideally in a startup environment.
