Senior Electrical Engineer - Group Lead

Work Location: Remote from home.

Office Location: Chicago, IL. 60606

Permanent direct full time hire

Experience

• Experienced Electrical Engineer that has been working in the MEP industry for at least 7 years.
• PE strongly preferred.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, laboratories, commercial and other substantial projects. Equivalent experience in the industry will be considered.
• Documented experience with all aspects of electrical engineering including:
• Lighting and Lighting Controls Design
• Energy Code Lighting Compliance
• Fire Alarm Design
• Power and Emergency Distribution System Designs
• Basic Receptacle and Telecommunications Layout
• Telecommunication Systems Design is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of building codes- Illinois and Chicago Electrical Codes, National Electrical Code, Energy Codes IECC and ASHRAE 90.1, and NFPA 72 and 101.
• Experience in designing hospitals and healthcare facilities is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Will be the Group Lead for a department of 4.
• Able to collaborate efficiently with other disciplines. We are looking for effective communicators via voice and email.
• Candidates need to be highly self-directed and capable of running multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction. We are looking for talented individuals who can effectively manage their time and workload to complete work on time and within the project budget.
• Ability to travel as required to project sites within Chicago area and beyond for site meetings, construction administration, etc.
• Ability to meet regularly for group coordination meetings with fellow employees and managers.

Software Skills (Preferred):

• Revit MEP
• BIM360
• AutoCAD
• Familiar with MS Office 365 Suite
