Job Summary: Dynalectric Florida is seeking a Senior Electrical BIM/VDC Specialist responsible for supporting all partners within assigned projects, or assigned jobs, by creating BIM content for products or for large projects, throughout the lines of business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Under the Direction of the President/CEO will determine, develop, and ensure the VDC Department goals align with the overall Company objectives; Responsible for managing all department projects to ensure the projects are effectively coordinated with the Project Management/Estimating to acquire drawings, specifications, deliverable schedules, coordination schedules, project file version, equipment submittals, material cut sheets, customer contact lists, or project sharing access; Participate in project kick-off meetings to clarify scope, prefabrication and cost savings; Understand written instructions from designers and installation team to generate Electrical BIM models; Review early designs for constructability analysis; Create accurate 3D Revit models and relevant views for cross-function team; Use special notations and symbols to give instructions on drawings and blueprints Monitor compliance with building codes; Travel to various project sites to resolve issues or develop a deeper understanding of the project and any issues at the point of installation; Maintain confidentiality of work and any company project knowledge Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to President/CEO with recommendation for resolution Aligns assignments to achieve customer and company objective Other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. POSITION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 3-5+ years Electrical BIM/VDC demonstrated experience working for an Electrical Contractor; Solid understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of the electrical industry; Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Aided Drafting, or related field a plus; Demonstrated proficiency with the following software: AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office programs. Advanced knowledge preferred. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction and design documents without assistance; Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in Model electrical systems in 3D for the purposes of prefabrication and MEP coordination preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with Managers, multiple levels of employees, general and subcontractors, and supplier partners.
