Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment? We are currently looking for a Senior Control Centre Engineer who is accountable to lead, optimize and schedule planned outages, provide technical support to Control Center Operations, support safe startup of new assets, and manage various improvement initiatives.

What you will do:

Independently provide a wide range of technical expertise and support to the Control Centre for all pipeline and terminal operations such as pipeline hydraulics, pumps, nitrogen purging, overpressure protection, and transient hydraulic operability review

Lead, plan and optimize system outages collaboratively with all internal partners ensuring throughput losses are minimized on a rolling 6-month cycle as guided by Enbridge values, risk, cost benefit analysis, and performance metrics

Accountable to identify and mitigate process safety risks in outage planning in a collaborative effort with outage requestor(s)

Ensure pipelines operate in a safe, operable, compliant, and efficient manner by management of pipeline operating limits to best achieve line protection performance on a line by line basis

Maintain a foundational technical knowledge base internal to Control Center Operations for operational issue stewardship on a wide variety of engineering subject areas including mechanical, electrical, controls, and process engineering

Support the safe start up and integration of new assets

Identify, recommend, and implement changes that achieve safety, compliance, and operating cost reductions

Who you are:

Engineering degree

P.Eng designation required

Minimum of 7 years related experience

Aptitude and communications skills related to acting independently as a fully qualified professional engineer

Proven planning, organizational, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills, supplemented with a practical proficiency

Demonstrated capacity to optimally communicate and lead stakeholders with varied interests in issue resolution

Extensive pipeline hydraulics knowledge and experience desired

Working Conditions:

Office environment with occasional travel and field visits

On-call rotations (one week of on-call every four to seven weeks)
