Under general supervision, the ideal candidate will assist the Civil/Structural/Architectural department with construction management, project execution, project scheduling, estimating, and various other tasks as determined by the department lead. May interface with Construction, Engineering, Project Management, and Internal Clients to assure the successful completion of projects. Opportunities to grow into a CSA designer may be available. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May provide some guidance to less experienced personnel. EDUCATION High School graduate or equivalent. Additional secondary education a plus. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Normally requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial construction management. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and capable of learning estimating software effectively. The ability to read and understand construction drawings is a must. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Manage project schedules across all projects to ensure project milestones are met for the CSA discipline. + Assist in developing future project schedules to align with ongoing work. + Assist with estimating new projects. + Manage workflow between the S&B Kingsport and S&B India offices. + Assist with manpower tracking and forcasting. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate in a thorough and effective manner with S&B India resources. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS A good background in mathematics is required, and with no high-level math required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Occasionally may conduct or participate in a field trip to an operating plant or construction site. This requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT Normal work environment will be a business office with moderate noise. Occasionally may visit or be temporarily assigned to work in an operating plant or at a construction site. This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, work near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals and airborne particles.
