Lentz Engineering is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with Land development experience in the Houston area market. Experience in the Austin area market is a plus but not necessary. The selected candidate should have experience in commercial civil site design and development, be familial with municipal zoning, land development ordinances, and applicable agency regulations to determine site development limitation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Preparation of site development plans for large and small scale residential, commercial, industrial, multi-use complexes, master planned communities and business parks.
• Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements.
• Preparation of grading plans, drainage, paving, detention, flood plain mitigation, and storm water quality plans.
• Preparation of construction plans, feasibility reports, cost estimates, drainage reports and other project documents.
• Coordination with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit application.
• Candidate will review project comments and incorporate necessary changes.
• Research regulatory requirements, and design standards.
• Work with drafters, engineers, and administrative staff to complete projects in a timely manner and within budgets.
• Candidate will perform other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 7 years minimum related experience in site civil design with an emphasis on site development, grading, utilities, roadway and drainage
• PE License in the State of Texas.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Self-motivated with the ability and desire to deliver excellent client service.
• Strong technical writing ability and excellent verbal communication skills.
