Job Responsibilities

Pennoni is currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Performing and/or supervising all aspects of project efforts
Assisting in proposal preparation and involvement with client relations
Overseeing and mentoring the junior engineering staff
Quality assurance and quality control of projects
Fostering existing and developing new client relationship

Requirements

Required Attributes:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
12+ years related experience
Qualifications include a PE with experience in site work, design, grading, erosion control, water and sanitary sewer systems and public street design.
Strong experience in stormwater management, design of stormwater piping systems, retention/detention, BMP's, and FEMA flood studies is desired.
Candidate should have experience in local government approval processes for preliminary and final site plans and construction drawings.
Candidate must have the ability to present projects to local governmental authorities and governing boards.
Experience with State DOT Standards for roadways, storm piping and utilities a plus as well as experience with Civil 3D.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience with VDOT and WVDOH Standards a plus
A Virginia PE (additional West Virginia PE a plus)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently within a group setting
