We have an immediate need for a Senior Civil Engineer for our Buffalo and Rochester, NY Offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to: zoning analysis, site planning and lot subdivision, site storm-water management, utility planning and layout, parking analysis and layout, vehicle maneuvering analysis, pavement and grading design
• Lead coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards
• Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
• Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
• Supervise the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
• Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
• Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction
• Engage with existing clients and pursue new clients to support growth of the business in the regional office across LiRo's service lines
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years' experience in Civil Engineering
• PE required
• Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers
• Understanding and application of code requirements
• Experience in using various structural analysis software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a requirement.
