Summary
I am currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Development Civil Engineer to join one of the most prestigious, comprehensive engineering consulting firms made up of industry-leading professionals offering services that include land development engineering, landscape architecture, ecological services, and construction inspection. - Base Salary: 34-40/hr (1.5x for OT), based on experience - average annual compensation of 90-110k or more w/ OT
- Bonus: Annual bonus ranging from 15-35k or more, based on annual company profit.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. EIT or Civil PE licensed registered or transferable to FL is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of Civil Engineering and Civil Design experience. Previous Land Development experience is required.
- Master Planned Community Development experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to develop issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for residential and commercial type land development projects.
- Ability to perform all calculations necessary for grading and drainage, stormwater control facilities, water quality, domestic water distribution, and other underground utilities.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D programs.
- Experience with GIS and stormwater modeling. Experience designing major (collector/arterial) roadways is a plus.
Job Duties
- Prepares design plans, supportive calculations, and reports for assigned projects.
- Perform all calculations necessary for grading and drainage, stormwater control facilities, water quality, domestic water distribution, and other underground utilities
- Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for residential and commercial type land development projects.
- Coordinate activities with other disciplines, internally and externally.
- Participate and contribute to design and production meetings.
- Interact with contractors, fabricators, owners, and internal clients to develop project requirements, schedules, and cost estimates prior to project implementation.
- Drive coordination and design necessary to obtain local, state, and federal permits as it relates to land development & utility construction projects.
- Ensures plans meet zoning requirements and do not conflict with other municipal regulations.
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
