We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Senior Aviation Construction Representative to join our Watham, MA office. Primary duties include: + Resident Project Representative (RPR) that has successfully managed the inspection and construction administration activities of at least two (2) projects that were substantially complete in the year 2006 or later that included the construction of new and/or reconstruction of Hub Commercial Airport runway, taxiway, and apron pavement. + Must be familiar with all aspects of airport operations, construction, and design. + Must be available to work in field and support office staff. + Off-peak work hours may be required. + Must be able to obtain necessary security clearances to work airside. + Must be able to travel. + Manage construction phase services including contract administration and construction monitoring from pre-construction through project closeout consisting of aviation construction type projects. + Construction administration responsibilities include client coordination, response to RFI's, processing of change orders, shop drawing review, construction schedule and approval of contractor pay applications. + Monitors single or multiple site construction activities for conformance with project plans and specifications. + Prepares field reports and photos of construction activities and site investigations. + Troubleshoots construction issues providing alternative solutions and value engineering in collaboration with engineering staff. + Provide constructability reviews of bid documents and technical specifications. + Provides construction observation training and mentoring of junior engineering staff. + Conducts meetings with clients and contractors. Requirements: + Candidate must have 10+ years of experience within airport design and construction. + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. + Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines. + Experience managing projects and working with clients. + Experience with different types of construction management software. + Ability to train and develop more junior staff. + 10+ years of aviation construction/engineering field observation experience. + Strong understanding of FAA specifications, details, and practices. + Strong understanding of construction site safety practices. Leadership responsibilities include: + Operating with integrity and sound business principals. + Building and maintaining positive client relationships. + Helping grow our team in Aviation Construction Services across the firm.
