Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Automation Engineer II to join the Assay Automation and Data team. Our team is responsible for developing novel automated systems/tools to streamline the execution and analysis of cell therapy assays in development and commercial settings. A successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with and mentoring team members to drive implementation of automation for unique biochemical and cell-based assays. The ability to work independently as an expert while partnering with assay developers and our internal development team is critical to the role. An ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with a diverse set of automation equipment and software packages. This position has potential for people management role.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in laboratory automation or relevant data automation
  • 2+ years managing direct reports or teams
  • Experience programming/implementing automated laboratory equipment
  • Experience qualifying and providing long-term improvements for automated systems
  • Experience contributing to cross functional teams
  • Experience with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Hands on development experience with .Net, C#, Oracle, MySQL, Azure DevOps
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in biology, engineering, or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline.
  • Experience deploying cellular/molecular analytical assays
  • Experience deploying Flow cytometry/ELISA analytical assays
  • Knowledgeable in GXP and 21CFR Part 11 standards.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud-based infrastructures, services, and DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Development Lifecycle (DLC) and of computer systems validation (CSV)
  • Strong Project Management skills
