Job Overview

Charlton Morris are searching for an ambitious Senior Automation Project Engineer to join a rapidly developing team of engineers and contribute towards the advancement of the cellular meat industry based on-site 3 days a week in Almeda, California.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of a DCS integrated system with integrated PLC controllers for green field cell culture facility by adapting clean room bioprocess utility design principles to support cell culture process and equipment in a food production environment
Manage fast-paced CAPEX project timeline with internal and external partners
Collaborate with external engineering to develop, review and approve technical documentation (FRS, DDS and other automation control documentation) as automation SME.
Develop automation control and architecture documentation for their network of facilities.
Draft and execute FAT, SAT and commissioning protocols for equipment and facility automation

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in chemical/mechanical engineering or equivalent related field
7+ years of experience with DCS and PLC automation design/operations required
Biopharma or food experience preferred
Experience in utility CAPEX projects and/or commercial operations
Experience operating in a cGMP environment;
