Job Description

Spartan Paving, Inc.

Spartan Paving, Inc. is a leading regional paving company. We focus on commercial asphalt paving including new construction, removal and replace, and mill and pave. Our other services are asphalt patching, sealcoating, concrete flat work, curb, underground and excavation.

Qualifications:

• Seal coating foreman will be performing/supervising projects involving sealcoating, crack filling and striping. This will also include cleaning and prepping sites prior to work to be performed.
• Minimum of two (2) years related experience in construction preferred.
• Must have minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Our foremen use technology. Computer skills and a general willingness to use technology are required.

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise field personnel and direct them in all aspects of production.
• Provide daily updates and meet regularly with the Director of Operations.
• Must be able to use a computer/smartphone/tablet efficiently.
• Work with Safety Director to maintain safe construction practices.
• Ensure quality on all jobs/rectify any deficiencies at a job.

Additional requirements:

• Must have a clean driving history, subject to our insurance carrier's review.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening as well as ongoing testing.
• Must be willing to be 100% committed during the short Michigan construction season.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
