Join a diverse team of the largest independently owned, center-of-the-plate food distributors in New England and Eastern New York. Providing a full line of proteins and provisions, including all-natural and local products.

The Production/Warehouse Sanitation Support Technician is responsible for the assistance in maintaining the Production Facility and Warehouse in a sanitary operating condition - a critical and important part of food and occupational safety! You will be a part of a small crew with a daily task list of projects required to meet regulatory requirements for sanitation. This shift for this position is a flex 3rd shift from 10:30pm - 7:00am.

3rd shift works 10:30 pm -7:00am Monday - Friday

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the completion of nightly cleaning or recleaning process as needed, including but not limited to removing physical soils, foaming equipment and work surfaces, rinsing and sanitizing all surfaces
• Assist in or complete post cleaning inspection to ensure cleanliness of all equipment and workspaces
• Proper use of chemicals in compliance with SDS sheets
• Proper use of equipment and maintenance of Sanitation tools
• Uphold a high standard for cleanliness and strive for continuous improvement of cleaning process
• Comply to all company safety protocols and standards
• Comply to all company GMPs and Food Safety/Regulatory requirements
• Detail cleaning in Warehouse and Production Facility areas including, but not limited to:
  • Sweeping and dusting
  • Removal of trash and debris
  • Use a walk behind and ride-on floor scrubber
• Communication with Director of Compliance and/or Production Room Manager regarding needs, challenges, food safety/quality issues, or damage/malfunction of equipment or tools

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling in a refrigerated environment wearing protective gear and safety work boots (voucher will be provided for footwear). Routine standing up to 9 hrs/day. Must be able to lift 50-60lba unassisted.

Working Relationship: Works closely with all departments at the facility including maintenance, quality assurance, warehousing. Works with management staff as appropriate.
