The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical sales and application engineering support to all end-user and OEM customers, with a primary focus on couplings, backstops, and clutches. This position will spend a significant amount of time in the field and will interface extensively with sales, marketing, and engineering in an effort to grow sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

• Working closely with product management and sales to identify and target customers with the highest growth potential for the target products.
• Regular travel to end customers to provide technical product and application support.
• Providing key feedback for the development of new products and services.
• Properly sizing couplings, backstops, and clutches for specific customers' needs.
• Conducting technical training for customers.
• Writing technical reports and evaluations regarding customer visits.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of successful technical design and/or technical sales experience with a manufacturing company; experience with couplings and/or clutches & backstops strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; technical experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• Ability to travel extensively in North America.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively internally and with customers.
