POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our team is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer. The Senior Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assurance and guidance for the development and detailed design phases of the regasification, liquefaction, infrastructure, and renewable projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical equipment is designed, specified, purchased, inspected, and installed safely and performs to the requirements of the design.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Participates in assigned phases of the technical design, construction and installation of Mechanical/RE equipment, vessels, heat exchangers, valves and piping associated with the project.
- Supports project development efforts by performing quality assurance reviews of EPC Contractor's design techniques and procedures for Mechanical/RE equipment packages; provides feedback to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Recommends the implementation of efficient Mechanical/RE engineering and construction techniques, procedures, and design criteria to minimize site work and associated costs.
- Monitors and provides project status updates to project management and other disciplines, including relevant conditions and activities that may impact the development, completion or performance of project and facilities.
- Coordinates the development and review of Mechanical design documents, technical specifications, studies, reports, and analyses; recommends the implementation of efficient construction techniques and schedule to ensure readiness for early works to support project construction.
- Participates in project meetings, reviews, and workshops; performs quality assurance reviews and inspection of Mechanical/RE design and effectively applies knowledge of safe-work processes and procedures to ensure the design and installation are safe.
- Reviews vendor drawings, documents, technical specifications, studies and reports and analysis; may develop bidding documents and recommends contract awards.
- Reviews and makes recommendations on EPC Contractor's deliverables, submittals, material/equipment selections and installation; ensures that all construction activities conform to the project design documents and project specifications.
- Supports project construction efforts by participating in construction meetings; resolves Mechanical/RE design, installation and interface issues that arise at the project site during construction.
- Participates in Process HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL/LOPA analysis as needed.
- Participates in factory acceptance tests and inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):
- Bachelor's degree in designated Engineering discipline
- 8+ years of experience in the Energy or LNG Industry
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical diagrams, including flow charts, cause/effect diagrams, and Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs). Must have a working knowledge of process industry codes and standards related to static equipment, including ASME Section VIII - Div I & II, ANSI, API, PIP, AGMA (gears), Test codes, OSHA 1910.
