Summary Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction projects which may include operating a variety of hand and power tools. Clean and prepare sites restoration, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. Work well with other craft workers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in concrete/asphalt paving construction projects; perform manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
Fine grade fill to grades given by foreman
Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix. Excavate and fills trenches
Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
Prep areas for asphalt paving. Saw cut and mill asphalt.
Operate vibratory roller and screws on asphalt paver
Use line striping machine and knowledge of crack pour/seal application.
Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
