We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Regulatory Analyst within our Rockies Regulatory group based in Denver, CO.

Job duties for the qualified candidates would include, but not be limited to: This candidate could also work with regulatory analysts and other teams to plan and permit future horizontal well locations (strategic planning, internal/external communication, collection of deliverables, populating permits, etc); ensuring compliance with permit/code/rule requirements prior to upcoming operations; coordination with operational teams to communicate mandatory permitting requirements; the filing of required regulatory notices to various regulatory agencies/departments (substantial workload that includes flowline abandonment notices; COGCC 903 flaring notices, etc ); special permitting and/or compliance assignments; extensive coordination with state and local regulatory personnel; and providing support to the Stakeholder Relations team, as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage all regulatory and permitting activities associated with drilling and operations of wells for assigned teams.
  • Drilling, completion, recompletion, plugging, well testing, injection well applications, annual testing, annual regulatory reports
  • Provide guidance to teams on local, state and federal permitting and operating requirements to ensure compliance
  • Work with Regulatory Analysts and other teams to plan and permit future horizontal well locations (strategic planning, internal/external communication, collection of deliverables, populating permits, etc)
  • Ensuring compliance with permit/code/rule requirements prior to upcoming operations; coordination with operational teams to communicate mandatory permitting requirements
  • Special permitting and/or compliance assignments; extensive coordination with state and local regulatory personnel; and providing support to the Stakeholder Relations team, as needed.
  • Work with various teams and business units to resolve operation and production-related compliance issues, including inactive well compliance
  • Develop business relationships with professionals at regulatory agencies to ensure knowledge of the rules and compliance
  • Coordinate preparation of enhance oil recovery filings and reports. Work with outside consultant on tight gas filings. File tax credit applications and provide approval information to production and revenue accounting
  • Compiling the necessary information needed to submit COGCC Form 2 permits after OGDPs are approved by the Professional Commission.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of oil and gas related experience or demonstrated knowledge of the industry
  • Minimum of 3 years regulatory and compliance experience
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office applications and internet applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Strong ethics, service attitude, team player
Additional Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Landmark, Eagle Forms system, LOWIS
  • ArcGIS
  • Public speaking
  • Training experience
