The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Refrigeration/Mechanic Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Maintain, repair, and install equipment and facilities, through quality workmanship
Complete overhauls of various types of equipment, such as: Complete overhauls of various types of equipment, such as maintain refrigeration equipment for the least amount of down-time.
Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
Work with and comprehend equipment schematics, blueprints, and comprehensive diagrams that relate to new installations as well as existing systems
Ability to complete electrical maintenance such as installation/removal of motors and devices up to 480V 3 phase.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
High school diploma or GED or higher(completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years previous experience as a refrigeration/mechanic or electrical technician in a private, public, government, or military environment .
Certified mechanical or electrical apprenticeship in a private, public, government, or military environment program (8000 hours OJT and classroom CEU's).
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Knowledge of local building codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
HVAC certification.
Travel: May include up to 0%
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
