Description:

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive shipments, check for damages, and sort stock for distribution in the store
• Keep a record of invoices sent and received
• Fill orders by taking items from the warehouse and preparing them for delivery
• Monitor shelves and fill them in when needed
• Keep up with the movement of merchandise in the store and warehouse
• Read planograms and set up store displays or rearrange merchandise according to them to maximize sales
• Place orders with suppliers when inventory is low and order picking and shipping supplies when needed
• Contact supplier and resolve any shipping issues

Requirements:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to display basic arithmetic skills.

TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Knowledge of shipping management and transaction software, as well as MS Office. Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and similar equipment. Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate receiving employees and train new employees. Well-organized, able to multitask but also attentive to detail. Strong communication skills. WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
