Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities
Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Responsible for performing on-site calibration activities and managing a calibration program.
Analyzes and solves problems, prepares procedures, analyzes data and applies fundamental statistical methods for process control
Performs calibrations utilizing advanced inspection equipment and generates all controlled documents required to maintain compliance
Develops, implements, improves and maintains Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions for production and quality systems
Coordinates statistical process control for the facility including escalation of abnormal events, and participates in all NCR processes and MRB processes
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Capabilities
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel
Basic understanding of good documentation practices and record retention strategies, as well as an understanding of the requirements to work in a Clean Room/Sterile Packaging environment
Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to ISO, 13485
Education and Experience
Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience
High school diploma or GED required
American Society for Quality Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) desirable
For roles that require access to hospital facilities, must be eligible for and maintain credentials at all required hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical requirements or vaccination requirements (including the COVID-19 vaccine, as applicable).
