Actalent is currently partnered with an automotive manufacturer in Upper Sandusky, OH and we are hiring a Quality Engineer to support this company. The automotive tier 1 supplier focuses on producing plastic injection molded parts for their automotive OEM clients. The main focus of this Quality Engineer is new model development, PPAP & APQP documentation, performing root cause analysis on any quality issues, gaging/gage r&r, and utilizing traditional quality tools. This position will roughly be 60% in the office and 40% on the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities: Work directly with the customer's quality group and respond to quality issues presented. Address and fulfill customer requests, consulting management when necessary. Determine root cause for quality defects onsite that were manufactured. Provide oral presentations, when needed to the customer on this company's related issues. Obtain customer approval for control of parts. Issue Quality Concerns as needed. Coordinate accepted/rejected material movement between manufacturing plant and Nissan facility. Oversee data collection and interpretation to coordinate improvement efforts. Inspect/test materials for aesthetic and dimensional accuracy. Evaluate the results of "8D" response as to acceptability or corrective action. Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments or outside vendors. Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends. Assist with training Quality associates. Follow established work practices that support compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements. You would start as a Full-Time Actalent Services consultant where you would be employed by Actalent Services and after the 9-month period, you would then have the option to transition as a direct employee of this company. This is a salaried position through Actalent. During the 9-month period, Actalent Services will mirror the Client's Holiday and Vacation schedule. You will be offered up to 120 hours of accrued vacation (10 hours of paid vacation is accrued each month), 13-paid Holidays, competitive benefits, and more.
