We are looking for someone who enjoys the fast and furious, figuring things out rather than being told what to do. In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
What You'll Do
Work within a wider team of professionals with the overall aim of making sure that the final products are safe, reliable and meet customer expectations while keeping the manufacturing process as effective and cost-efficient as possible.
Face to the customers and liaison between the customers and production teams.
Play a key role in identifying technical issues, getting to the root of the problem and fixing issues when they arise.
Communicate and support new project launches, facelift and/or engineering changes.
Servicing Web portals by updating contact information, answering part quality complaints, monitoring customer scorecards, and determining recourse actions when negative ratings are present, updating requalification segments of the portal according to customer requirements.
Providing monthly customer scorecards to the Head of Quality Engineering for compilation within the plants KPI's. Review of internal (Q-wall) and external sorting data, and leading a cross functional team from production to reduce/remove the sorts.
Tracking and reviewing monthly sales deductions for responsible projects and connecting those to the corresponding complaints.
Tracking of Representative costs and prompts provided to the department.
Corresponding and managing the day to day activity of the Dr. Schneider representatives at customers facilities.
Reviewing latest customer specific requirements and maintaining the internal Dr. Schneider Customer Specific requirements list.
Completion of product audits, tag verifications according to the defined schedules.
Maintenance of Test plans and control plans for assigned products. Apply methods, practices, and procedures according to as customer requirements, Dr. Schneider QMS, IATF 16949, DIN EN 14001, VDA 6.3 etc.
Report the current quality situation (internal and external) to Head of Quality Engineering.
Participate during customer/Supplier audits
What it takes to be successful in this role:
2+ year of Quality Engineering experience in an TIER 1
5 + years of experience in automotive manufacturing in plastic injection molding, paint, or final assembly.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is plus
Familiar with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and CSR's Requirements
Knowledge of automotive core tools.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in the agreed language of the assessment/audit assignments.
Ability to work well in an environment and react effectively in stressful situations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report writing skills.
Ability to exercise effective time management in completion of assignments.
Ability to easily commute to Russell Springs or ability to relocate
