Job Overview

This Opportunity WSP is currently searching for a full time Project Manager/Architect in our National Project Management/ Construction Management Business Line. The key focus of this position is to serve as Project Manager on USPS Projects. The successful candidate will be a major participant in all phases of the pursuit, as well throughout design and construction of the project. The selected candidate will be based in our offices located in Phoenix, Arizona. However, because of the nature of the role, it may be necessary to be located at a project\field offices with some regularity. Responsibilities include working closely with our clients and proactively managing the project team to achieve the overall project delivery, quality, and financial objectives. The role involves being highly responsive in supporting the design and construction teams, while also being cognizant of the importance of maintaining a strong relationship with our Owner clients. This position also includes participating in business development activities to help identify and position the company to compete and win new projects. This includes developing and maintaining key client relationships, gathering, and disseminating market/pursuit intelligence, building the pursuit pipeline and leading and\or participating in proposal and interview efforts. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Participate in preparing capture plans for new opportunities, team formation, proposal development and interviews. Manage and provide daily guidance to a team of construction engineers and inspectors, project control specialists, and administrators Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management from a 4 year college or university. 10+ years or more experience in Project Management and/or Construction Management, with at least 3 years of Project Management specific experience in vertical projects. Strong writing skills to support technical reporting as well as oral communication skills are required, and proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Suites specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook Working knowledge of Program Management & Construction Management software Advanced knowledge of Project Management. Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self-sufficiently in the field Proven ability to perform in a management capacity Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Valid driver's license
