FLSmidth needs a Project Manager to manage Capital, Upgrade, and Retrofit projects for Screens and Centrifuges supplied from our Winfield, WV operations location.

The Project Manager will act as the primary customer contact through all phases of project execution to ensure on-time delivery, profitability, scope monitoring, and positive customer relationships.

Job scope:

• Develop project schedules in cooperation with Production Planning and control project activities in accordance with company objectives, project scope, and milestones to satisfy project requirements.
• Establish, maintain, and lead high performance cross functional project teams, serving as the project advocate within the client organization.
• Serve as the primary customer contact from sales handover through the project execution lifecycle to ensure project scope, quality, schedule, budget, and deliverable expectations are met.
• Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated project resources to gain alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Coordinate with other departments, predominantly Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Production, Finance and Product Line Management, to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible and will proactively pursue closing of activities to fulfill project and client needs.
• Responsible for maintaining and/or improving as-sold project margin including, but not limited to, the negotiation of change orders.
• Prepare and present progress reports and ensure the project is furthering organizational goals and commitments in the required ERP systems.
• Track and report on project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of project milestones.
• Ensure timely issuance and collection of invoices per contract terms
• Capture and implement Lessons Learned during project execution.
• Lead risk management within project teams, ensuring risks have appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
• Provide sales/marketing support as needed.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 4+ years experience in industrial equipment or OEM project management and/or capital project management or relevant experience working with industrial equipment, preferably knowledge of Separation Equipment
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of quality project management principles and practices (i.e. project planning, forecasting, and cost tracking)
• Experience using MS Project to ensure the project meets schedule expectations
• Well-developed contract management and change order skills
• Sound technical aptitude and proven ability to grasp general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies with superior computer usage skills
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and drawings
• Solid understanding of Production Planning and Scheduling
• Demonstrate hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills on a technical level with excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of audiences at all organizational levels
• Drive to go the extra mile and persistence to be able to resolve conflict and present recommendations
• Strong knowledge of project accounting concepts, including percentage of completion, earned value and accounting techniques
• Spanish language skills provide a distinct advantage
