Summary of the ST&O Transformation Program
The focus of the program is to transform Client's Supply, Trading & Optimization (ST&O's) operating model, processes and systems to better optimize Client's Mid-stream value chain. This will be achieved by taking a merchant approach to Client's equity Mid-stream assets by actively managing equity risk positions (inventory, asset utilization etc) in a timely, transparent and measured manner.
The program as a whole will change the culture, systems, and processes within ST&O to drive focus, transparency and measurement of ST&O's optimization of the assets in the Mid-stream Operating Segment. Under the program a new corporate "Mid-stream Operating Segment" was created, and associated reporting will highlight where along the value chain value is being created. This focus will also help ST&O to identify where along the value chain it may be most prudent to invest.
Project Manager, Refined Products Trading workstream
The Refined Products Trading Workstream is an exciting initiative supporting the ongoing stand-up of the new Refined Products Trading business within Client's existing Supply, Trading & Optimization (ST&O) organization. Reporting to the General Manager of the ST&O Transformation Program, you will lead all aspects of the implementation of new products trading activities. You will be working with senior individuals from the STO business unit, various finance/accounting functions, middle office functions, and supporting business units such as Tax and Legal to implement required changes across all to enable high value add trading activities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Coordinate amongst multiple functions the implementation of new commercial activities into the end-to-end deal flow:
  • Solicit support and create a subject matter working team
  • Manage the SME working team from ideation to inception
  • Work with change to develop and communicate a robust work plan
• Responsible for delivering the project on-time, on-budget, and with a high-quality outcome for the Client:
  • Develop and manage the project timeline/budget/scope
  • Provide regular project updates to workstream steering team, sponsors, and the project management office
  • Support workstream through roadblocks and setbacks
• Provide leadership on business process changes within STO to support the ongoing buildup of supporting functions to the Products Trading business (I.e. scheduling, LP, back office, middle office, etc.):
  • Solicit support and create a subject matter working team
  • Build on the current state processes and roles and responsibilities work done thus far
  • Collaborate with appropriate functions to build out new processes and clarify roles & responsibilities
• Promote, educate, and support the workstream change/communication strategy amongst numerous business units outside of STO by participating in:
  • Quarterly town hall sessions
  • Ad hoc awareness sessions
  • Monthly digital media releases
• Duties as required by the project

Required Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

• 7 years' experience within downstream oil and gas or a bank, preferably with trading (front, middle, or back office) or supply/marketing experience.
• Professional project designation (Prosci, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PMI-PBA) or MBA preferred
• Entrepreneurial experience working at or founding a startup welcome
• Undergraduate degree in business, economics, or engineering

Skills and Knowledge:

• You are naturally curious and have the capability to rapidly learn new functions within a business
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interact and provide expert advice to vice president level audience
• You are a self-starter and work well in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work effectively within a cross functional team (tax, legal, finance, operations, etc.)
• Knowledge of refined products and subsequent commodity markets
• You are organized and able to work on parallel activities
• Must know how to do business process mapping
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in Visio, PowerBI, Excel and MS Office suite
