Wood is currently seeking a Project Manager based in Tunkhannock, PA. This is sub-contractor role within a Wood Client office in its NEPA asset. The Project Manager responsibilities primarily include project controls such as project plans, schedules, cost tracking and analysis, risk and mitigation tracking, and project lookbacks. The Project Manager responsibilities may also include identifying, screening, appraising, selecting, designing, executing, and handing over full life-cycle projects to operations. The Project Manager will solicit input and expertise across multiple internal groups (Production, Facilities Engineering, Completions, Geo, Land, EHSR) and external consultants in delivery of project controls and of life-cycle projects from identify to execute. In addition to the direct role above, the Project Manager will be a very strong people connector who has impeccable integrity, exhibits a bias for delivering results, seeks varied input, assesses and mitigates key risks, delivers high quality and timely work, is able and ready to roll-up sleeves as needed, and is committed to a team-oriented, collaborative approach.
The Project Manager must understand and have the ability to effectively plan and schedule the project lifecycle and general sequence of events, as well as the processes for the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project management project tasks. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare and lead a team in preparing schedules and reports, both independently and as part of a team environment. The candidate must understand and fully comply with all company policies and procedures, specifically including safety (Injury and Incident Free) and corporate code of conduct. He / She will be familiar with Oracle Primavera and Microsoft Project.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop the project execution plans, lead project reviews, lead negotiations with the client on change orders and contractual disputes while maintaining a solid client relationship and client satisfaction
- Establish and execute safe and effective project delivery strategies covering estimating, procurement, project management and controls
- Bid management, scope definition, program and estimate development
- Stakeholder management, both internally and externally in a challenging environment
- Ensure resources are identified early and available both through internal sources and our partner organizations
- Appliance of and compliance with Wood governance, project controls practices including maintaining P6 schedule and monitoring the project baseline
- Identification, assessment and mitigations of key risks and opportunities
- Assist field leaders in data analysis and recommendations regarding production, project-level and other data efforts aimed at improving asset performance.
- Develop conclusions and recommendations based on analysis. Implement approved recommendations to generate additional asset value.
- Conduct "special projects" (e.g., midstream evaluations, production studies, cost exercises) either self-directed or at direction of field leadership. Reach conclusions, deliver incremental value.
- Identify, Screen, Appraise. Develop, implement and manage robust and fit-for-purpose processes for identifying, screening and appraising projects
- Establish robust, effective, and yet fit-for-purpose screening and appraisal processes.
- Record and apply learnings to enable continuous improvement in identification, screen and appraise.
- Leverage network and help build strategic framework to identify potential projects.
- Work with various functions and experts to build and implement screening tools, e.g., economic model, Facility Eng for operations projects and compression, et al.
- Manage vendors and consultants engaged at the identify, screen and appraise stage when needed.
- Rank and move projects from Appraise to next phases as appropriate.
- Use creative technical and operational thinking and innovation to manage risks and deliver projects into next phases for FID.
- Select, Design, Execute. Develop, implement and manage a robust process for selecting (including FID), designing and executing best economic, risk-mitigated Operations projects.
- Establish robust, effective, and yet fit-for-purpose select, design and execute processes
- Record and apply learnings to enable continuous improvement in select, design, execute
- Work with various functions and experts to build and implement a select, design and execute "playbook" and to help deliver projects
- Manage vendors and consultants engaged at the select, design, execute stages when needed
- Use creative technical and operational thinking and innovation to manage risks and deliver economic projects to fruition
Skills / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Project Manager should have a bachelor's degree in engineering and relevant business experience in oil and gas or related industry, and leadership and/or strong individual contributor experience in an operating company -- preferably oil and gas.
- Public company experience, particularly with regards to most or all project management functions, or at least multiple facets within the project manager remit.
- Academic and Career performance results and ratings should be very strong.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The job is based in Tunkhannock, PA, at Client NEPA headquarters.
- Working remotely available for up to 50% of working hours
- Some travel is required and would be on as needs basis. Current expectation is that this would not exceed 50% of total time.
