Role Summary The Project Engineering Lead (PEL) is responsible for leading a cross-functional development team to successfully develop automotive electronic achieving project and company mandated targets. As required by the project, the PEL shall act as the key customer interface for all technical/engineering topics. Key Responsibilities Leads the activities to ensure engineering (GPEP) work products and any other relevant deliverables are released per project's configuration management and timing plans and are in compliance with product development process and customer expectations. Primary technical contact for the Customer and Product Development Team Read and interpret Customer specifications and ensure requirements are documented and incorporated into the product design Participate in the development of mechanical, electrical, and software domain and manufacturing technical requirements and specifications Ensure test and analysis coverage validates that the design meets all requirements Ensure manufacturing in a robust process Responsible for delivery of design work products (FMEA, FTA, WCA, Testability, Requirement Bilateral Traceability, others) Solve technical issues associated with Customer and product demand and Drive failure analysis and present to the Customer In conjunction with Line Managers, ensure that internal processes and procedures are followed during all phases of the product lifecycle Responsible for efficiently and effectively leading the product or core development teams on an assigned project. Review, track, communicate and approve product plans and status on a regular basis. Communicate development status to management using dashboards, charts and reports as appropriate. Work with managers and senior managers to identify and resolve issues quickly within the team project organization. Manage technical escalation paths appropriately. Escalate where necessary for communication of issues, requests for assistance, and unexpected situations. Manage engineering risks. Report status prepare contingency and mitigation plans and execute corrective actions. Manage escalation paths appropriately. Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the customer/project requirements. Review and approve engineering work products. Manage engineering part release and change control Key Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent skills. Minimum of 10 years' deep and relevant experience regarding the responsibility / activities (listed above) in serial development. Automotive electronic (mandatory). Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role. Leading a global team is a plus. Awareness. Unity. Empowerment.
