Job Overview

Actalent is seeking a remote Project Engineer!

Description:

95% remote position. The client anticipates potentially 5% travel to attend job walks in support of active fuels project sites to better understand the existing site conditions, troubleshoot fuel system operation issues and/or equipment performance issues. Project engineer role may include site trips to identify existing fuel system assets and catalog new system component assets.

• Develop scope of works for various civil, electrical, coating and mechanical repairs based on client provided directives, asset photos, and feedback from site personnel for the development of SRM and RMMR

• Travel up to 5% to attend job walks in support of active fuels project sites to better understand the existing site conditions, and troubleshoot fuel system operation issues and/or equipment performance issues.

Candidate must have a full understanding of the following documents.

• United Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS);

• UFC 3-460-01 Design: Petroleum Fuel Facilities;

• UFC 3-460-03 O&M: Maintenance of Petroleum Systems;

• AW78-24-27: DoD Aboveground Vertical Steel Fuel Tanks with Fixed Roof; and

• AW78-24-28: DoD Pressurized Hydrant Fueling System Type III.

The client prefers candidate to have familiarity with API 653, API 570 and ASME B16.5

Top Skills' Details

Candidate shall have a minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Fuels Project Engineer, Service Order Manager or Fuels Project Manager, specifically in ground and aviation fueling systems. The candidate will be responsible for supporting RMMR project managers and estimators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or EIT pr PE license.

Candidate shall have capability to develop scope of works for various civil, electrical, coating and mechanical repairs based on client provided directives, asset photos and feedback from site personnel for development of SRM and RMMR proposals. Candidate shall have the following software capabilities.

• Microsoft Word;

• Microsoft Excel;

• Microsoft Powerpoint; and

• Autocad (preferred).
