As Project Engineer with Plastipak's Extrusion Development Center, you are the engineering and technical expert for packaging development projects. You play an essential role in ensuring packaging products meet customer standards and expectations. This is an exciting role with a lot of exposure to customers and colleagues across the product lifecycle, from planning through manufacturing production.

You Will

• Complete project planning and development, including reviewing product design for feasibility and compliance with customer requirements and related specifications. In addition, you will evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases throughout the project.

• Lead the engineering work stream of the project, which includes clearly communicating project expectations and deliverables, planning and scheduling workflows, coordinating all activities concerning technical developments, as well as resolving issues

• Serve as the liaison between the customer and the Plastipak team regarding technical information

• Procure tooling for the sites

• Act as a positive role model to the project team

You Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Packaging Science. Other degrees may be considered with PMP certification

• Working knowledge of the following areas, typically achieved with a minimum of two years of experience: Project management, Product design, Requirement analysis, Process improvement, Change management

• Experience using CAD software

• Experience using SAP is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to operate as an effective leader and representative of Plastipak

• Ability to travel (25%)
