Job Summary

Manufacturer near Wausau, WI is seeking an Automation Project Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Engineering (Associates degree will be considered) and at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, implementing a variety of automation components. AutoCAD Electrical experience required, as well as previous project engineering/project management skills. Relocation provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assists automation project engineers and has good working knowledge of automation systems and a variety of project related activities
• Responsible for the overall project engineering/project management activities of automated processing systems and equipment utilizing Microsoft Xcel, Microsoft Word, AutoCAD Electrical and other software packages
• Communicate with other automation project engineers/project managers, automation design engineers, supervisor, manager, other staff, customers and vendors to define automation scope, specifications and architecture for projects.
• Must be experienced in the project engineering/project management of automation systems for a variety of processing equipment and systems
• Previous food, beverage or daily experience preferred
• BS Engineering degree in a relevant field preferred, associate's degree considered.
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with implementing a variety of automation components (no programming), including PLCs, HMI's/SCADA systems, motor controls
• AutoCAD Electrical experience required
• Develop all panel and non-panel BOMs
• Monitor progress of projects, conduct research and perform quality control inspections.
