Description:

Seeking a team of project coordinators to support telecom projects for an engineering and construction company. Field technicians will be tasked to locate utility fiber from outside buildings and businesses, identify where it splits off, how many times, when it goes inside, etc. The utility client they are supporting is needing as-built drawings completed and updated. The field technicians will be taking pictures and notes, formatting data in company software. Project coordinators on the team will schedule routes, get access to buildings and sites, book hotels, etc.

Projects and field tech team they would be supporting:

• This position requires visual identification, measuring, and inspecting CATV, telephone, and power company lines and equipment attached to utility poles
• Technicians will use equipment including laptop or tablet PC, laser rangefinder, GPS, digital camera and measuring pole
• Travel and overnight stays in job sites during the work week may be required
• The job consists mostly of outdoor activity and the ability to walk from pole to pole carrying all required equipment in all types of weather
• Maintain accurate records for several sites at one time
• Must be able to work independently and ensure that projects meet or exceed scheduled delivery dates

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• A.S. in Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Surveying or Construction is a plus
• A good attitude, willingness to learn
• Must have good communications and problem-solving skills
• Good scientific reasoning Must have good scientific reasoning and ability to understand compliance requirements
• Requires knowledge of MS Office, Google Earth and/or other mapping applications
