Northrop Grumman Marine Systems - Cape Canaveral is seeking a Production Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical and logistical support during manufacturing, repair and testing operations on SSBN Launcher Subsystem tactical and support equipment. Marine Systems-Cape Canaveral specializes in providing deployed systems support for launching and handling systems for the US Navy US/UK TRIDENT II SSBN programs.

Basic Qualifications for Production Support Engineer :
Salary Range 2: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Provide training and guidance during conduct of work performed by technicians
- Perform troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform and coordinate non-conforming material review on discrepant hardware
- Manage processing documentation issued to support operations
- Recommend design and procedural changes
- Support and conduct documentation/design reviews
- Support the receipt and shipment of material
- Manage contractor and government furnished equipment to include inventory management, preventive maintenance and calibration
- Perform quality functions related to closeout of processing documentation and auditing processes
- Manage hazardous material storage and waste processing
- Support customer meetings, evaluations, and status reporting
- Support expansion of manufacturing capabilities
Basic Qualifications for Production Support Engineer :
- Bachelor's of Science Degree with 2+ years of experience; Master's with 0 years of experience.
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of manufacturing and repair techniques; mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, technical manuals, etc.
- Demonstrate an effectiveness in working cross-functionally.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree with 5+ years of experience; Master's with 3 years of experience.
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of manufacturing and repair techniques; mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, technical manuals, etc.
- Demonstrate an effectiveness in working cross-functionally.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in operating in a government owned facility.
- Technical writing experience.
- Experience with Strategic System Program (SSP) operations and and the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM Program).
