Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Production Painter 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Beavercreek, OH.

Our team is at the core of innovation, supporting the Warfighter and National Security. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Production Painter who desires exciting and challenging work utilizing a variety of paint techniques and coatings. This is a 1st shift position that will require OT when needed to support program demand. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, be a quick learner as well as a team player.

Essential Functions:
  • Prepares for painting by masking, stripping, sanding, prepping aircraft sections and components
  • Blends and mixes paints, inks, and coatings to proper spraying consistency
  • Must be able to perform detail touch ups
  • Coordinates processes for painting production parts
  • Able to work with various chemicals to complete scope of work
  • Able to obtain half & full-face respirator certification
  • Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems
  • Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years painting/surface prep experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, or manufacturing. environment
  • Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years painting/surface prep experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, or manufacturing. environment
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Low observable coating experience or courses
Salary Range: $45,500 USD - $75,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
