As a Product Specialist - Oil & Gas , you will support the Product Manager in the development and implementation of the strategy for the flow control product portfolio. Areas of focus will include directing new product developments from ideation through launch, managing the existing product portfolio through pricing, sales support, inventory analysis and phase-in/phase-out initiatives, and maintaining a strong knowledge of industry trends while developing relationships with key customers. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + Develop and deliver product plans and product road maps to continually evolve the product line in order to maintain market leadership position + Support Marketing team with brand management and positioning, and creation of communications materials + Conduct commercial team training + Collect Voice of the Customer, and develop a deep knowledge of customer requirements + Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs across various industry segments and geographies + Maintain competitive intelligence and perform competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and threats + Justify, scope and launch new product development projects, utilizing a formal phase gate process + Perform inventory analysis and develop phase in/out plans + Perform product segmentation analysis and develop plans for product end of life phase out initiatives + Participate in pricing decisions + Work with supply chain and operations team to evaluate cost reduction activities to increase product line profitability Basic Qualifications: + Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Supply Chain with 1-2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Top Candidates Will Also Have: + Excellent verbal communication skills with experience presenting strategic and technical concepts to senior management and customers in intimate and large venues. + Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Ability to research and analyze market trends and synthesize results into actionable plans. + Proficiency in project management, spreadsheet and word processing programs. Proficiency in Solidworks EPDM and Syteline preferred.
