What You Will Do: Create technical production drawings and 3D solid models using SolidWorks from sketches or redline drawings with limited direction. Validate and check all engineering documentation (BOM's, Drawings, Procedures, Routings, Part Catalog Descriptions, etc.) for accuracy and ensures compliance with customer requirements, export control and Company Policies. Prepares CAD file conversions as required Assist with Windchill PLM document management system. Execute Bills of Material (BOM) releases/BOM changes including manufacturing routings using Oracle. Troubleshoot design related issues in production. Position Details: Candidate must reside in Houston, TX or surrounding areas Work week is Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM Work is conducted primarily in a cubicle, some access to a manufacturing shop floor as required Compensation package offered: competitive annual salary paid bi-weekly and quarterly bonus eligibility Exempt position Company training provided Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or higher in Drafting with minimum 3 years of experience; or Minimum 10 years of experience in a design/modeling/drawing role without degree. Experience in 3D/CAD Solid Modeling and 2D drawings using Solid Works Proficient in PLM Experience in drawing Standards including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to work independently and within a team environment with strong organization skill as well as excellent attention to detail. Shows respect, understanding, tact and concern to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others. Maintains confidentiality and has high ethical standards. Demonstrates a personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude Fosters teamwork and collaboration within and across work groups. Is open to change and new information; adapts behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles; effectively deals with ambiguity. Understanding of current process requirements, rules, and procedures. Minimal dialing, hearing, writing and speaking less than 10%.
