Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Gas Sourcing Specialist to join our team located in Lopatcong, NJ.

The Gas Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for helping to support $75 million in annual procurement for the electronic gases production facilities. This individual will work both independently and in collaboration with sales, product management and operations as internal customers, to leverage the organization's global network of category and regional buyers to achieve best in class status for our customers. The primarily responsibility will be to keep the procurement process moving efficiently, from order fulfilment material requirements planning (MRP) to inventory management to bill payment.

Gas Sourcing Specialist - 1st Shift

• Provides customer service to all parties with whom position interacts, including but not limited to processing external and internal vendor purchase orders and material issuance daily, handling internal customer and vendor complaints, and helping to resolve billing issues or escalating, as necessary.

• Manages supplier base with appropriate contracts reflecting end-user customer requirements to include negotiating best in class service at lowest possible cost.
• Works with Inventory Control, Supply Chain and Procurement Managers to maintain continuity of supply of critical plant source materials.
• Analyzes internal demand requirements and external market condition to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
• Supports sourcing efforts with Internal Customers and External Vendors.
• Assists in achieving, quantifying, and tracking all cost reductions and cost avoidances.
• Monitor's product pricing to flag supplier price changes.
• Coordinates with global buyers, sales, marketing and operations where appropriate and ensure North America compliance with global contracts.
• Provides information in support of issuing RFQ, give feedback to assist performing bid comparison and vendor evaluation, which lead to award decisions,

• Provides access to other procurement units to collaborate and improve sourcing and materials management processes.
• Drives procurement efficiency improvements through automation and process simplification.
• Serves as the procurement department's lead the region to ensure compliance to processes and procedural requirements.

• Resolves erroneous invoices / mis-shipments / returns / damaged goods claims.
• Tracks progress regarding compliance with preferred suppliers, use of appropriate process and controls, and savings.
• Performs SAP material information updates and stock level updates.
• Monitors and refines product demand plans to include Advanced Purchase Open Order Plans.
• Monitors and supports Supplier Quality Management effort at making Linde supplier base world class to include inspections where necessary.
• Investigate part availability and cost within the SAP system, directly with suppliers or by other means (Thomas Register, Internet Searches, etc).

• Continually assesses and improves supplier's performance.
