Process Technician - Semiconductor Processing and
Characterization (1st shift + 1 weekend day)
HexaTech, Inc. is seeking a motivated candidate to fill a Wafer Processing Technician position. This position will integrate into a small multifunctional team of technicians and engineers. Job description:
Operate & maintain process equipment related to: o Polishing of Semiconductor substrate materials. o Slicing wafers from crystalline boules using wire saw technology.
Job requires high attention to details for handling, loading, and operating process tooling. Diagnose & troubleshoot equipment problems.
Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks (cleaning, calibration, & repairs).
Contribute to installing new equipment.
Inspect and characterize final product results using optical microscopy, calipers, & digital micrometer gauges.
Work with Process Engineers/Technicians to upgrade and transition new and existing tooling when necessary.
Define/refine methods to increase process repeatability and control to achieve higher yield, lower costs, higher flexibility, and better reproducibility.
On-call support for nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
Education:
AA or BS in a technical field or equivalent experience
Experience:
>3 years of product/process development and/or manufacturing experience in the
Semiconductor Industry preferred.
Experience with semiconductor processing preferred.
Experience with semiconductor substrate polishing preferred.
Experience with optical microscopy.
Excellent mechanical skills.Self-motivated, high-energy individual with a strong drive for accomplishment and a
'whatever it takes' attitude.
Ability to handle other tasks as assigned on production floor.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to follow written and verbal work instructions.
