Responsibilities:
Provide plant wide automation and controls support for new and existing cells.
Support robotic automation within the plant.
Support PLC software and hardware applications.
Support robotic integration projects.
Work with our in-house Automation team or third-party integrators.
Provide technical support for material handling robotic installations.
Provide training to Zone Leaders and operators on system functionality/maintenance repair.
Troubleshoot existing automation cells, solving daily production problems, improving safety, quality, reliability and cost.
Qualifications:
Must be mechanically inclined and have good computer skills, including experience with Excel, CAD drawing, Baan, and Mapper.
Hands on troubleshooting skills with experience in robotic automation, PLC programming and diagnostics, vision systems, safety interlocks and system communications preferred.
Experience in robotic software and hardware (Fanuc/Motoman etc.) preferred
Must have basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting using a digital multimeter.
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to lead the discussions, meetings, projects, etc., and communicate across all levels of the organization.
Must be able to read blueprints and understand basic math.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles including value stream mapping and kaizen is preferred.
Requires good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor shop floor operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
