Job Overview

Position Summary

ProAmpac, a global packaging manufacturer is looking for a Process Engineering Intern out of its Wrightstown, WI location. This position would be a temporary role for the Fall 2022 semester and the possibility of continuing into the Spring 2023 semester. It is anticipated workload for the position would be 15 -20 hours per week.

This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by providing support by managing, participating or assisting in designated projects, assisting in the administration of department functions and provide support as needed. They will have the opportunity to gain experience and exposure to complete projects focused on operational or product improvements.

Essential Duties and Tasks

  • Provide assistance with product trials completed on the production floor
  • Lead Projects to improve operational efficiency
  • Utilize Statistical Measures to show improvement.
  • Elevate complex and/or high priority problems for resolution
  • Read, understand and follow work instructions
  • Provide updates and metrics regarding project status and learning moments using a variety of media
  • Work independently and ability to collaborate with teammates to identify process improvements, gather information and provide feedback
  • Assist other department/team members as needed
  • Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
  • Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Understanding of standard engineering principals (protocols, process, evaluations, statistical analysis)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive professional that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Need to living, or willing to, relocate to Wisconsin (no relocation assistance provided)
  • Ability to follow documented policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
