The Process Engineer for the Applications Development Center will support process and analytical activities related to existing and new process applications, products, services and projects.

Role & Responsibilities
- Develop/Prepare/Review Process Designs for both proposals and projects, to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with design standards, specifications, relevant codes and EHS requirements in the region.
- Coordinate and /or provide process design support (incl. Eng. calculations) to project execution team following project award as required:
- Review/Prepare Process Descriptions, mass balance, equipment sizing
- Coordinate the timely preparation of control narrative, engineering drawings (PFDs, P&IDs Hydraulic Profile, Layout etc.)
- Ensure process design meets customer needs regarding quality, quantity, power, consumables, operability, availability and sustainability.
- Support Commercial Eng. / Sales team with sales calls to clients, owners and consultants.
- Participate in technical peer risk review within the design review team for projects, to ensure design optimization / value engineering
- Provide process support for commissioning, performance testing and operator training including development of performance test protocols and operator training presentations, as required.
- Coordinate Pilot test plans, support report generation and review of operating changes.
- Assist in the development of new and the improvement of existing products and processes.
- Assisting Process teams in development of knowledge data base, tools, and new / improved process engineering design guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Chemical/Environmental/Civil/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years' experience in municipal, industrial water and wastewater applications or bachelor's degree in Chemical/Environmental/Civil/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years' experience in municipal, industrial water and wastewater applications
- Strong water chemistry knowledge required; strong water biology knowledge preferable
- Experience with basic analytical techniques/methodologies and process simulation and jar testing; knowledge of advanced analytical techniques.
- Ability to learn all aspects of physical chemical separation expertise to and eventual "expert" level, including but not limited to precipitation chemistry (clarification, softening, metals, fluoride, phosphate, silica, etc. removal); clarifier and filter design guidelines; design calculations for chemicals, equipment; performance guarantee development and review; residual solids management including all aspects of sludge thickening and dewatering.
