Overview:

Our client is growing again and hiring another Process Engineer. You will be responsible for standardizing current methods, developing new methods, and resolving engineering problems involved in standard jobs that the company completes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with shift team members on an ongoing daily basis to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and production goals.
• Detect problems and situations that require action to prevent safety, quality, cost, or production excursions.
• Gather, interpret and/or analyze data, and draw conclusions based on the data.
• Make data based decisions where possible and demonstrate the ability to make the appropriate assumptions otherwise.
• Exercise sound technical judgment in resolution of a problem and seek direction from supervisor when necessary.
• Remove process variability through control loop optimization or other process improvements.
• Conduct technical studies and or experiments to determine the improvements needed for plant and area goals.
• Initiate projects, implement management of change requirements, and manage project implementation as needed.
• Coordinate and guide engineering and technical facets of assignments in the area of obtaining and organizing informational data and analyzing and resolving problems.
• Prepare cost estimates involved in changing from present to new methods; estimate savings expected as the result of such change.
• Work closely with other departments, e.g. Plant, Maintenance and Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, et al., whose services are necessary to conclude assignments.
• Promote a "work-safe" attitude and environment where safety is the prerequisite to all activities.
• Keep well informed on new developments in quality control and process engineering through contact with educational institutions, professional societies, professional and trade journals, texts and periodicals.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Engineering degree mandatory
• Demonstrated ability (through work experience or academic education) to utilize engineering skills across multiple concurrently active projects
• Ability to adhere to manufacturing process procedures and personnel safety principles
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, schedule, and direct projects and tasks
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and assist in root-cause analysis techniques
• Strong interest in hands-on experience with multi-generational equipment
• A strong work ethic, high motivation, and ability to be mentored
• Proven experience in idea generation to reduce costs and improve quality
• Six Sigma experience highly desired
• Proven experience implementing new product and processes with demonstrated leadership in project management
