Process Engineer Co-Op

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Process Engineer Co-Op , are to:

• Lead optimization projects;
  
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement;
• Learn critical process equipment procedures;
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve production processes;
• Plan maintenance programs;
• Present capital projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Enrolled pursuing a minimum of a bachelor's degree;
• Ability to commit to a seven month co op (mid May Dec.);
• Ability to build relationships and work well in a team based environment;
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
• Self motivated with a strong results orientation;
• Demonstrate ability to manage a deadline while being able to focus on details;
• Strong problem solving skills and an ability to organize (thoughts, data, etc);
• Excellent computer skills related to data acquisition and record keeping;
• Demonstrate leadership ability;
• Desire to learn and willing to ask questions and able to adapt to change;
• Candidates must have their own transportation to and from the worksites, as most of the work locations are situated in areas with no public transportation available.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Ag Engineering, Technical Systems Management or related Engineering degree.
