Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Due to continued growth, Boys Town printing services is looking for an individual for the role of Printing Services Assistant. We are looking for an individual with solid customer services skills, who will take initiative in a team-oriented environment. In this role, you provide customer service support and on-line support for orders. This role plays an integral part in ensuring orders are completed and distributed in a timely fashion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
  • Provides administrative and customer assistance in production processes and activities.
    • Provides front-line customer service and support.
    • Provides administrative support including sorting and opening mail, maintaining printing records, answering phones, scheduling equipment repairs, and billing.
    • Completes and processes work request forms, job order tickets, delivery memos, and bill tracking worksheets; coordinates delivery of product including arrangement of overnight shipping.
    • Monitors and maintains supply inventory, assists in securing pricing information, and places orders with vendors or coordinates with purchasing.
    • Organizes, prepares, and processes forms, materials, correspondence, monthly reports, and production statistics.
    • Operates production equipment and desktop publishing software including converting files, preparing proofs, and typesetting as needed.
  • Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagans Boys Home mission.
    • Directs all activities towards the fulfillment of the Boys Town mission
    • Directs all actions to reflect the values and principles of Boys Town
    • Establishes and maintains an environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and ethical behavior
    • Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
    • Supports other members of the management team and their work
  • Other Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to utilize printing machines and materials.
  • Ability to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year of previous experience, preferably including experience in a print services or customer service area.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND EQUIPMENT USAGE: Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Handling of average weight objects up to 20 pounds and up to 50 pounds on occasion; standing and/or walking, and sitting at a keyboard, workstation, or desk. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typically, subject to inside environmental conditions and loud noise; may work in proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, with exposure to high heat, chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, and poor ventilation.
